VincentPérezplaysBaronofSigognac,ayoungroyal,whosequestformaterialwealthbringshimtrueloveandrevelationsonthenatureofthisworld.TheplotthemesaresomewhatrelatedtoStoppard'sexcellentRosencrantzandGuildensternAreDead-bothusesthetravelingplayerstoexplorethenatureofthehumancondition.OnemightalsorecallBergman'sSeventhSeal,butFracassaismoreakinofStoppard'slighthearted,witty,approachtothosegravesubjects.
